Iphone tips and tricks: disable Location Services on your iPhone

Since the recent discovery about iPhone tracking and storing users location, many iPhone users were troubled about their privacy and data protection, In order to help you to protect your privacy here is a small tip on disabling Location Services on your device.

While Location Services can come in handy in some situations like for example when you would like to add a geotag to captured images, participate in some game, map navigation and so on you certainly dont need it to run all the time. Today modern world is increasingly connected and sometimes you just wouldn’t like everybody to know your location or movement history. In fact this can easily be done. You can fully disable Location Services or you can choose which apps you trust enough to allow them to use the services. Here is how to do this.

How to disable Location Services

1. Tap on Settings on your Springboard.
2. Open Location Services.
3. Toggle Location Services to “Off” and it is done.

Disable Location Services for selected apps

1. Tap Settings on your Springboard.
2. Choose Location Services.
3. Swipe down to see complete list of apps which use this service.
4. On every app disable or enable use of Location Services by toggling On or Off.
